In 1987 became the first woman to present the television news in the early evening. Has worked for the daily newspaper 'La Stampa', the 'Io Donna' section of the 'Corriere della Sera' , for 'Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni' and 'Anna'; worked with the German TV channel SWF (1988) and Pro 7 (1996) and with CBS (1999); since 1988 international political correspondent for RAI; events covered included: the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Gulf War, visits by the Pope; the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; war in the former Yugoslavia; the terrorist attacks of September 11, the Iraqi crisis and the war against Iraq.
