Situation

• the plenary vote waill take place on Tuesday September the 23rd.

• Debate on European Parliament is on Tuesday, September 2nd between 15:30 and 17:30
• Deadline for tabling amendments for plenary vote is on Wednesday September 17th 12:00

In order to help us in collecting signature for a "magic bullet" amendment against the 3-strikes approach, we need you to contact your Member of European Parliament (MEP).

• MEPs that have already been opposed to the 3-strikes approach should be targetted first.

The following message is to be spread:

• 3-strikes approach allows the circumventing of judicial autorities in order for some administrative authorities to decide about some punishments limiting Internet users' freedoms.
• Harbour's compromise amendments open the door to 3-strikes approach as shown by our analysis.
• The "magic bullet" amendment against 3-strikes approach gets judicial authority back to its role of protector of fundamental freedoms.

• Le vote en première lecture en plénière se tiendra le mardi 23 septembre.
• La date limite de dépôt des amendements pour le vote en plénière est le mercredi 17 septembre 12h00

Afin de nous aider à collecter des signatures pour qu'un amendement crucial contre la riposte graduée soit déposé, nous avons besoin que vous contactiez votre eurodéputé.

• Ciblez priotairement les eurodéputés s'étant opposés à la riposte graduée.

Le message à faire passer est le suivant :

• la riposte graduée permet de contourner l'autorité judiciaire pour que des autorités administratives décident de sanctions limitant les libertés des internautes ;
• les amendements de compromis de Harbour laissent la porte ouverte à la riposte graduée comme le montre notre analyse ;
• l'amendement crucial contre la riposte graduée rétablit la position de l'autorité judiciaire comme gardien des libertés fondamentales.
