I am just trying to make sure that the telecoms package does not open any doors for filtering of the internet or what has been called the graduated response so called "three strikes and you are out of the internet", that the french government has been working with. I am trying to ensure that the telecoms package doesn't create any possibilities for that.

You can't turn legislation upside-down and treat people as if they were criminals, just because some of them might do something like on the internet. You can't filter everybody just to get to some people.

It's like the post-office: Imagine that the post-office would be allowed to open everybodies letters to read them just to see if somebody is making something bad or illegal within the letters.

But what I feel is the problem that we have a division in generations here. That some of my collegues view the internet just in menas of downloading or just a problem. (..) It's actually an extremly important part of people's life. And then it's actually a way of using your freedom on expression, freedom to information

Call your members of parliaments "Hey!" and tell them "I would like to explain something. How I view this." .

Thats a thing that people can do, towards their politicans. Not only the members of parliament here in Europe, they can call their members of the national parliament and say "Hey, what does your party think of this, thats happening." So just to get it raised to the debate and then they are aware that people really care about it.

we have to at least take every fight on step of the time. And hopefully, eventually - I think we will win.

HELP NEEDED : Lots of typos / Need for timecoding / Need for french and other translations afterwards.

It's like the post-office: Imagine that the post-office would be allowed to open everybodies letters to read them just to see if somebody is making something bad or illegal within the letters. ...It's not like if... the telecom package will be voted through tomorrow, then internet will be filtered. But hey give a possibility and take us one step further towards letting memberstates filter the internet.

...the reason that those compromising and complicated bad ammedments got in there is massive lobby campaign I think. A massiv lobby-campaign from different right-holders or film-industry, music-industry that think it is okay to use filtering and "three strikes and you are out" to actually protect copyright.

But what I feel is the problem that we have a division in generations here. That some of my collegues view the internet just in menas of downloading or just a problem. (..) It's actually an extremly important part of people's life. And then it's actually a way of using your freedom on expression, freedom to information
