The IFPI (representing the recording industry) sent this letter containing the signatures of various artists to convince MEPs to adopt the Gallo report. We decided to analyze the list...

- a 7 years old Moldovan singer (Cleopatra Stratan)
- 69% alleged signatories come from ~18% of the European Union (5 countries out of 27)
- 5% alleged signatories come from out of EU
- 5% alleged signatories are not identified (we've been unable to find them whether on wikipedia or google)
- 5% alleged signatories appear twice or more in the list/are members of the same band but sign several times
- 8% alleged signatories are classical musicians : member of an orchestra or conductor
- the french singer Michel Sardou that previously said "I'm a pirate"
- the french singer Yannick Noah that is known to be against capitalism
